Character Creation and Experience

The GM should adjust the amount of experience given out based on where the characters are in their advancement. In general, characters should be able to upgrade a Specialty once a session, or a Skill once every two sessions, or a Stat once every 4-5 sessions. For the most part, players can spend experience points however they like.

Stats start at 1. Buying one up to 2 costs 10 points. Buying a stat from 2 to 3 costs 20 points. Buying a stat up from 3 to 4 costs 30 points; from 4 to 5 costs 40 points. So, buying a stat from 1 to 5 costs 100 points.

Skills start at 0. Buying a skill to 1 costs 5 points; from 1 to 2 costs 10; from 2 to 3 costs 15; from 3 to 4 costs 20; from 4 to 5 costs 25. So, buying a skill from 0 to 5 costs 75 points.

Specialties start at 0. Buying a specialty at +1 costs 2 points; buying it from +1 to +2 costs 4 points; from +2 to +3 costs 6 points; from +3 to +4 costs 8 points; and from +4 to +5 costs 10 points. So, buying a specialty from 0 to +5 costs 30 points.

Benefits cost 5 points each.
